The Lamb's Book Of Life
First and foremost, as specifically stated in Revelation 21:27 above, it is The Lamb's Book of Life, the Book of Life made possible by Jesus Christ:
"Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." (John 1:36 KJV)"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other Name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 KJV)
Jesus Christ is The Way to salvation, absolutely the only way to salvation. Those found in The Lamb's Book of Life are therefore obedient followers, past, present or future, of the one and only true Messiah. The Satanic lie that all of the different man-made religions of the world, including the many false versions of Christianity, are just "many different roads to the same place" applies not to salvation but to the lake of fire, as plainly warned by the Messiah himself:
"Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few." (Matthew 7:13-14 RSV)"On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and do many mighty works in Your Name?' And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you evildoers.'" (Matthew 7:22-23 RSV)
The Book of Life is not a "New Testament" invention. The righteous people of all time knew about it, e.g. from the Old Testament book of Psalms:
"Let them be blotted out of the book of the living; let them not be enrolled among the righteous." (Psalm 69:28 RSV)
The righteous are in the Book of Life, while other books also exist (see Bittersweet):
"And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, by what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead in them, and all were judged by what they had done. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire; and if any one's name was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:12-15 RSV)
