Fountains, Physical and Spiritual
The Promised land was blessed with good water:
"So you shall keep the Commandments [see The Ten Commandments Now?] of The Lord your God, by walking in His ways and by fearing Him. For The Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, flowing forth in valleys and hills, a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive trees and honey, a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing." (Deuteronomy 8:7-9 RSV)
The time of transition after The Return Of Jesus Christ will see both physical and spiritual fountains:
"The Lord also shall roar out of Zion [see Who, What or Where Is Zion?], and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but The Lord will be the hope of His people, and the strength of the children of Israel. So shall ye know that I am The Lord your God dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of The Lord, and shall water the valley of Shittim." (Joel 3:16-18 KJV)"I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water [see Living Waters]. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of The Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it." (Isaiah 41:18-20 KJV)
Fountains are also an analogy for the Holy Spirit:
"For with Thee is the fountain of life: in Thy light shall we see light." (Psalm 36:9 KJV)"For the Lamb which is in the midst of the Throne [see The Throne Of God, From Heaven To Earth] shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes." (Revelation 7:17 KJV)
"And He said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely." (Revelation 21:6 KJV)
Fact Finder: Did Jesus Christ say that "whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst"?
