A World Without Democracy?

There is little doubt that, in the time remaining that humans have left to form their own governments, democracy, choosing leaders through the election process, is the best-available method of government. Democracy isn't perfect, because humans aren't perfect, but it does tend to provide the best results overall, the many exceptions from the past, and the present, notwithstanding e.g. Adolf Hitler and his National Socialist German Worker's (NAZI) Party came to power because they were elected to the Reichstag (German Parliament). But the time is coming when democracy is going to be retired, not to be replaced by some other human-devised form of government, but replaced by direct rule of Jesus Christ and those who He installs into positions of responsibility.

Not Just A Better Way, The Perfect Way

Earth The Kingdom of God, on earth, is not going to be a democracy, or any other form of human government. But the freedom and individual rights of everyone will be far better than the world has ever known. There will be no more war, no more crime, no more hunger, no more poverty, no more disease, no more injustice, no more human fear and suffering - and no more lying politicians. The Holy Bible plainly states that "heaven" is coming to earth, and after God's absolute rule has been fully implemented, it will be paradise.

"It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of The Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be raised up above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it, and many nations shall come, and say: "Come, let us go up to the mountain of The Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; that He may teach us His ways and we may walk in His paths." For out of Zion [see Who, What or Where Is Zion?] shall go forth the law, and the word of The Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide for strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more; but they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree, and none shall make them afraid; for the mouth of The Lord of hosts has spoken." (Micah 4:1-4 RSV)

And how will the above result happen? It was all described long ago, for example as given to the prophet Daniel:

"As you looked, a stone was cut out by no human hand, and it smote the image [see Daniel's Statue] on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces; then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold, all together were broken in pieces, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, so that not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth ... And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed, nor shall its sovereignty be left to another people. It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand for ever; just as you saw that a stone was cut from a mountain by no human hand, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold. A great God has made known to the king what shall be hereafter. The dream is certain, and its interpretation sure." (Daniel 2:24-35,44-45 RSV)

Jesus Christ will rule the earth as the "King of kings and Lord of lords"

"Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! [see Two White Horses] He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a Name inscribed which no one knows but Himself. He is clad in a robe dipped in blood, and the Name by which He is called is The Word of God [see The Logos]. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, followed Him on white horses [see The Return Of Jesus Christ and A Heavenly Cavalry Charge]. From His mouth issues a sharp sword with which to smite the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; He will tread the wine press of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On His robe and on His thigh He has a Name inscribed, King of kings and Lord of lords" (Revelation 19:11-16 RSV)

The Elect (see What Is A Saint?), those who will be in the first resurrection, will serve as "kings and priests" under Jesus Christ:

"And when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints; and they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy art Thou to take the scroll and to open its seals, for thou wast slain and by Thy blood didst ransom men for God from every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and hast made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on earth." (Revelation 5:8-10 RSV)

"Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom judgment was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony to Jesus and for the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life, and reigned with Christ a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who shares in the first resurrection! [see Resurrections] Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with him a thousand years." (Revelation 20:4-6 RSV)
