Chamber

A chamber could be either a private room, or apartment, in a house or within a larger complex:

"And he lifted up his eyes, and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother's son, and said, "Is this your youngest brother, of whom you spoke to me? God be gracious to you, my son!" Then Joseph [see Coat Of Many Colors] made haste, for his heart yearned for his brother, and he sought a place to weep. And he entered his chamber and wept there" (Genesis 43:29-30 RSV)

"When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem; and he got down upon his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously." (Daniel 6:10 RSV)

During The Ten Plagues upon Egypt, the Pharaoh even had frogs in his chamber, or bedchamber:

"But if you refuse to let them go, behold, I will plague all your country with frogs; The Nile shall swarm with frogs which shall come up into your house, and into your bedchamber and on your bed" (Exodus 8:2-3 RSV)

Ehud assassinated Eglon the king of Moab during a private meeting in an upper chamber, or room, on the roof of his palace, as the king's servants and bodyguards discovered too late:

"And they waited till they were utterly at a loss; but when he still did not open the doors of the roof chamber, they took the key and opened them; and there lay their lord dead on the floor" (Judges 3:25 RSV)

The bride chamber was a specific room:

"After a while, at the time of wheat harvest, Samson went to visit his wife with a kid; and he said, "I will go in to my wife in the chamber." (Judges 15:1 RSV)

"Let the bridegroom leave his room, and the bride her chamber." (Joel 2:16 RSV)

References to chambers, or an "inner rooms," by Jesus Christ:

"But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you" (Matthew 6:6 RSV)

"For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. And if those days had not been shortened, no human being would be saved; but for the sake of The Elect those days will be shortened. Then if any one says to you, 'Lo, here is the Christ!' or 'There he is!' do not believe it. For False Christs and False Prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Lo, I have told you beforehand. So, if they say to you, 'Lo, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out; if they say, 'Lo, he is in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of man. "Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed upon the housetops." (Luke 12:2-3 RSV)
