Timeless

Change happens when something gets either better or worse; to stay the same means no change. People change, while God never changes. God has always been absolutely perfect - God can become neither better or worse. God does not change; therefore what God says is right, or wrong, is for all time. True right and wrong is timeless.

Once For Ever

The Ten Commandments All that is good is of God, and what is truly good does not change:

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with Whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." (James 1:17 KJV)

The earth was created long ago, and it will last until it is renewed, but through it all, God does not, and will not, change.

"Of old hast Thou laid the foundation of the earth [see The First Scientist]: and the heavens [see Heavens Below, Heavens Above] are the work of Thy hands. They shall perish, but Thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt Thou change them, and they shall be changed: But Thou art the same, and Thy years shall have no end." (Psalm 102:25-27 KJV)

There is no "generation gap" with God. God's Word is for all time. Rigged translations of the original Hebrew and Greek Scriptures for "politically-correct" purposes, to suit the cyclical liberality or conservatism of a particular generation or era, are not "versions" of the Bible, they are perversions of the Bible. As the Scriptures below make plain, turning the Gospel into something that it isn't is a very serious matter:

"The counsel of The Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations." (Psalm 33:11 KJV)

"As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other Gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." (Galatians 1:9 KJV)

The Ten Commandments have existed right from the time of Creation (see The Ten Commandments Before Sinai?), and as the basis of all Righteous Law, they will never end. What will end are defiant, unrepentant Law-breakers (one variety of whom blasphemously claim that God's grace permits them to be as lawless as Satan, see Antinomianism and I Did It My Way...) when they are cast with "weeping and gnashing of teeth" into the lake of fire.

"And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep His Commandments. He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His Commandments, is a liar, and the Truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth His Word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him" (1 John 2:3-5 KJV)

"And I will come near to you to Judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith The Lord of hosts. For I am The Lord, I change not" (Malachi 3:5-6 KJV)

"Blessed are they that do His Commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city [see The City To Come]. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie." (Revelation 22:14-15 KJV)

"This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:14-15 KJV)

Fact Finder: "And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His Commandments. He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His Commandments, is a liar, and the Truth is not in him" (1 John 2:3-4 KJV)
