Extinction of The "Dinosaurs"

I've encountered the word "dinosaur" in response to some of the studies that I've written recently. The implication is that God's Word, or His servants who preach and teach it, without fear or excuse, according to what it actually says, is somehow something from the distant past, and that it is so far "out of touch with today" that it's headed for extinction. Well, an extinction is coming, but the "dinosaurs" aren't going to be the people who accept and obey God's Word. The "dinosaurs" are those who refuse to repent. And that extinction won't be of dinosaurs dropping dead in a nice, cool swamp somewhere. They are going to be burned; an extinction that will only be extinguished (extinction and extinguish originated from the same word, meaning to cease) when all who are evil have been reduced to ash:

"For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith The Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear My Name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith The Lord of hosts." (Malachi 4:1-3 KJV)

The Extinction Of Evil

Fire The Holy Bible is the most modern book that you can possibly read because much of it deals with the glorious future, not like a "science fiction" fantasy novel, but with reality that provides a sure hope for those who have the humility and wisdom to obey God. It's also a dire warning to the "dinosaurs," those who cling to the dead-end evil ways of the past, who are not going to survive into the New World.

"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the Word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men."

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."

"Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements [see Hydrogen] shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness." (2 Peter 3:3-13 KJV)
