"Whole Wheat" Christianityby Wayne Blank How can that be, if vitamins and minerals are added to the "enriched" bread? The process of making "white" bread removes a great amount of the natural vitamins, minerals and bran in the wheat. Some governments, when they discovered that such refined bread was grossly inferior to natural whole wheat bread, passed consumer-protection laws that required manufacturers to "enrich" their highly-refined products by putting back at least part (and that's all that usually gets put back, a fraction of what they refined out) of the nutrients that they removed. But even then they commonly use unbalanced, synthetic substitutes for the natural vitamins that were removed, which are often used to produce "natural" vitamin supplements for sale to people who are not eating natural products, like whole wheat bread! That legally-required "enrichment" eventually became, deliberately or not, a marketing gimmick that very often gives people the impression that they are getting a superior product, when in fact, in most cases, the enriched white bread is still inferior to "unenriched" whole wheat bread that doesn't need to be "enriched" because everything that God put into the wheat to begin with is still there. A simple consumer reality is that "unenriched" whole wheat bread almost always contains more health-giving vitamins, minerals and fiber than "enriched" white bread. "Whole Wheat" Christianity
"And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to Me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst." (John 6:35 KJV)
