The Bible Code

The English word code is used in two very different ways, with two very different meanings. It can mean either "a set of principles or laws" (e.g. the Napoleonic Code, the Criminal Code) or "a system used for writing messages in which words or other characters represent other words or characters for the purpose of secrecy or brevity" (e.g. Morse Code, computer Binary Code). Ironically however, those two very different applied meanings are the result of the same meaning because a "secret code" is actually based on a set of known rules or laws. A "code," regardless of how the word is used, is based upon Laws that must be obeyed if one is to be successful.

"And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His Commandments"

Holy Bible For many people, God is a "mystery" to them because God's Word is a "mystery" to them. They don't understand the Word of God because they don't live by the Word of God. That isn't some sort of "catch 22" - it's simply a matter of having to make a sincere effort to understand and live by the rules, just as having to learn and properly use Morse Code in order to understand Morse Code. The "mystery" of the dots and dashes of Morse Code is cured simply by learning and obeying the rules of the available-to-everyone Morse Code.

God's Word is based upon God's Law. Until one truly repents, the Word of God will not be understood - even if one "knows" what it says. Knowing isn't enough - doing is what matters. To know God, one must first begin to obey God. Only then is the Truth truly seen and heard.

"And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His Commandments. He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His Commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth His Word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him" (1 John 2:3-5 KJV)
