The Gospel Of Judas Is A Fraud
by Wayne Blank
"I am lost now with the newly found gospel of Judas because it gives a totally different picture. Please help me to understand this because Jesus said that a man like Judas should not have been born. But I know in the gospel of Judas it gives a different picture."
The Truth About Judas: "woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It had been good for that man if he had not been born"
The person who sent that email is apparently aware of at least some of what the Holy Bible truly says about Judas and that the "gospel of Judas" actually contradicts the true words of Jesus Christ. But nevertheless that person has allowed such an obvious fraud as the "Gospel of Judas" to shake their faith and knowledge of the Truth. How many other people are so easily distracted by something that is so worthless to God - but extremely valuable to Satan?
Among a number of other blasphemous absurdities, the "Gospel of Judas" claims that Judas was actually a very righteous man and the favorite apostle of Jesus Christ - including an obviously false quotation of Jesus Christ in that regard, that plainly contradicts what Jesus Christ actually said about Judas as recorded in the Holy Bible. It also falsely claims that Judas "helped Jesus to save mankind."
Judas was not a righteous man as the fraudulent "Gospel of Judas" claims. Unlike the truly righteous apostles, Judas was a liar, a thief and a traitor. God's plan of salvation for all of humanity did not depend upon a singular, corrupt man who chose to make himself unworthy of that salvation. As the Scriptures plainly say, eleven of the apostles "endured temptation" and "shall receive the crown of life," while one was "drawn away of his own lust," a choice that "bringeth forth death," eternal death. That's why the Savior said of him, "woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It had been good for that man if he had not been born."
"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death." (James 1:12-15 KJV)
Fact Finder: Did the apostle Paul warn that condemnation awaits those who teach "other" gospels?
"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." (Galatians 1:6-9 KJV)
