The First 1,000 Years Of Salvation

After His resurrection, Jesus Christ ascended to heaven in a cloud:

Clouds

"1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight" (Acts 1:9 KJV)

The Christ arrived in heaven on that cloud:

"7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 7:14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." (Daniel 7:13-14 KJV)

The Messiah is returning on a cloud:

"1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him." (Revelation 1:7 KJV)

"They shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with him a thousand years"

The return of Christ will mark the beginning of the end of the kingdoms of men and the beginning of the Kingdom of God on earth. The first order of business will be to remove Satan, "the god of this world" (2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV; see also Who Still Rules The World Today? and Satan's Throne).

"20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years [see Christ's Day Of Atonement], 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years [see To Meet The Lord In The Air]. 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection [see Resurrections]. 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death [see also Death's Obituary] hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." (Revelation 20:1-6 KJV)

After the 1,000 years, Satan will be let loose, briefly, as a test of those who will be resurrected physical after the 1,000 years (see When Will You Be Judged?).

"20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city [see The City To Come]: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." (Revelation 20:7-10 KJV)

The "judgment day" for all of those who knew the truth, who lived throughout the ages right up to the day of Christ's return, was when they lived. The judgment day for those who will be resurrected physical after the 1,000 years will be then (see When Will You Be Judged?). After all have been judged, sooner or later, the world will be flooded with fire to incinerate all who refuse to repent (see Planet On Fire!).

"20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works [see Works Means Obedience]. 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell [see Sheol and Hades; also Through The Gates Of Hell] delivered up the dead [see What Happens When You Die?] which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire [see Death's Obituary]. This is the second death. 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:11-15 KJV)
