Christ's Warning To Cain
"1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." (John 1:1-3 KJV)
Long after the creation of humans, the Christ authoritatively stated that no humans, other than Himself, have ever seen The Father.
"5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape." (John 5:37 KJV)
And yet many people heard the voice of "the LORD God," and saw Him.
"24:10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. 24:11 And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink. 24:12 And the LORD said unto Moses [see also The Trysting Tent], Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them." (Exodus 24:10-12 KJV)
It was Christ that humans saw and heard (and even ate with - see Lunch With The LORD) through the entire "Old" Testament i.e. "that Rock was Christ."
"10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea [see Why Through The Sea?]; 10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ." (1 Corinthians 10:1-4 KJV)
"If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? And if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door"
As plainly stated in the verses quoted above (and as covered more extensively in the Fact Finder question below), it was Christ who was sent by The Father to create all things, to deliver His Ten Commandments to all of humanity, to appear before and to speak to humans, right from the beginning (as a preparation for The Father's yet-future coming - see The Throne Of God, From Heaven To Earth). It was Christ who warned, and encouraged, Cain to do right, rather than do evil.
"4:6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him." (Genesis 4:6-7 KJV)
But Cain chose to disobey Christ.
"4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him." (Genesis 4:8 KJV)
It was Christ who confronted Cain afterward. It was Christ who put the "mark" on Cain and drove him away "east of Eden."
"4:9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother?
