On the day of Christ's return (see also Could Christ Return Tonight?), all of His true people, who lived their lives from the most ancient times to the present, will be resurrected to spirit, or changed to spirit if alive that day:
"4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 KJV)
"They lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years"
On that day, Christ and His resurrected/changed people will begin to establish the Kingdom of God on earth (see the Fact Finder question below to understand that those who believe in a "rapture" have misunderstood the first resurrection). On that day as well, Satan is going to be put away:
"20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon [see Dragons], that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season." (Revelation 20:1-3 KJV)
Those in the first resurrection are not somehow merely favored. They will have a purpose: "they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."
"20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished [see When Will You Be Judged? to understand why the second resurrection will be to physical life again, unlike those in the first resurrection who will be to spirit].This is the first resurrection. 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." (Revelation 20:4-6 KJV)
At the end of the 1,000 years, Satan will be released to test those who have yet to be tested (as those in the first resurrection, who lived their physical lives prior to Christ's return had to do). Satan will thereafter be returned to his cage where he will remain forever.
"20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." (Revelation 20:7-10 KJV)
Those of the second resurrection will face their time of Judgment at the end of the 1,000 years, unlike those of the first resurrection who lived their time of Judgment before Christ's return (again, see When Will You Be Judged?).
"20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:11-15 KJV)

1099: During the First Crusade, the Crusaders defeated the Egyptians at Ascalon on the "Palestine" coast.
1332: The Battle of Dupplin Moor; Edward Baliol, king of Scotland, with the aid of Edward III defeated Donald, earl of Mar and regent for David II (who was 8 years old at the time).
1450: During the Hundred Years War, the English surrendered Cherbourg, completing Charles VII's conquest of Normandy.
1508: Ponce de Leon arrived in Puerto Rico.
1759: The Russians under General Soltikov and the Austrians under General Landon defeated 40,000 Prussians under Frederick the Great at the Battle of Kunersdorf in the Seven Years War.
1762: The British captured Cuba from Spain after a two month siege.
1813: Austria declared war against Napoleon.
1877: British explorer Sir Henry Morton Stanley reached the mouth of the Congo River.

1914: At the start of the First World War, the first troops of the British Expeditionary Force crossed the English Channel for battle. In 10 days, 120,000 men were transported without loss of a single man or ship.
1944: The first PLUTO (Pipe Line Under The Ocean) supplying gasoline across the English Channel to the Allied forces in France, went into operation from the Isle of Wight. It could transfer up to 700 tons of gasoline a day.
1961: The erection of the Berlin Wall began.
1992: The U.S., Canada and Mexico agreed to form a free-trade zone that would rank as the world's largest single trading bloc. The agreement was later dwarfed by the rise of China which flooded North America with made in China products, while at the same time China became the largest creditor of the soaring U.S. national debt i.e. in 2010, China became the major financial supporter of the technically-bankrupt U.S. government which was actually paying most of the billions of dollars of debt interest with even more borrowed money.
