The Seventh Trumpet Of The Seventh Seal

The time just prior to the return of Jesus Christ (see also Could Christ Return Tonight?) is going to be spectacular. The well-known "four horsemen of the apocalypse" (see Chariots And Horsemen Of The Apocalypse), the "great tribulation" (see The Great Tribulation), massive earthquakes and signs in the heavens are going to occur - along with many other things. The purpose, and the result of it all, will be to crush the Satanic arrogance out of humanity in order for there to be room for God's Truth in their deceived hearts (figuratively speaking, all of the self-worshipping, phony-Christian people who are "full of themselves" are going to go on a spiritual diet so that they can become truly free and salvation healthy).

Consider what all of the powerful misleaders are going to be doing on the day when Christ begins to show them His wrath. Interestingly, during present-day times of crisis, various presidents and prime ministers have already been shown fleeing to their bunkers in the ground or deep in mountains - the very same places that were described in Prophecy long ago i.e. they "hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains":

"6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" (Revelation 6:15-17 KJV)

The wrath will come upon all misleaders - military, political and religious - as stated by one of the seven angels (who are described individually below).

"17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will show unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters [see The Righteous Woman's Victory Over The Great Whore]: 17:2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns." (Revelation 17:1-3 KJV)

"Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on the Throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb"

Those who study the Holy Bible (see our Holy Bible Reading Plan With Study Notes) know that the great events leading up to Christ's return will occur in a prescribed order, exactly as it is written. Much of that wrath upon the unrepentant (repentant people will be spared God's wrath i.e. "21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man" Luke 21:36 KJV), prior to Christ's coming, will be delivered by mighty, righteous angels. Seven of them will render the LORD's fury at "the seventh trumpet" of the "seventh seal" (see the Fact Finder question below to see the complete list, from what the Bible actually says).

The Holy Scriptures The first angel:

"16:1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

16:2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast [see The Beasts Of Antichrist], and upon them which worshipped his image." (Revelation 16:1-2 KJV)

The second angel:

"16:3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man; and every living soul died [see Dead Souls] in the sea." (Revelation 16:3 KJV)

The third angel:

"16:4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. 16:5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus. 16:6 For they have shed the blood of saints [see What Is A Saint?] and prophets [see What Is A Prophet?], and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy. 16:7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments." (Revelation 16:4-7 KJV)

The fourth angel:

"16:8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire [see Hydrogen and The Floods Brought By Christ]. 16:9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory." (Revelation 16:8-9 KJV)

The fifth angel:

"16:10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, 16:11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds [see Forgiveness For The Repentant]." (Revelation 16:10-11 KJV)

The sixth angel:

"16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon [see Satan's Sermons], and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils [see The Devil's Lust For You], working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon [see Countdown To Armageddon]." (Revelation 16:12-16 KJV)

The seventh angel:

"16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. 16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake [see Earthquake!], such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. 16:19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. 16:20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven [see Heavens Below, Heavens Above], every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great." (Revelation 16:17-21 KJV)
