Monday, February 14 2011Why Does God Love You?The English word "love" originated from an Anglo-Saxon and Germanic word, lieb, which meant dear, or beloved. Interestingly, the English word believe has the very same origin as beloved i.e. both words are based upon lieb. To believe is to be loved. "Love" is used to translate the Hebrew word, pronounced aw-hawb, which also means love, or faithfulness. The word is found, literally in, and as the basis of, the Ten Commandments (see The Two Great Commandments), which reveals why God is "jealous" ("I the LORD thy God am a jealous God") of those who ignore, or forsake, their love of Him.
"20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. In the New Testament (keeping in mind that The Messiah, and everyone else, read and taught from the Hebrew Scriptures, even though the New Testament was written in Greek - see Translation Of Translations), "love" is used to translate the Greek word, pronounced ag-ah-pay, which means affection, as love. It was that word for "love" that was used in John 3:16, one of the most famous verses of the Holy Bible. Notice the "believeth," which also means beloved in the English, as explained above, is very appropriately used in the translation.
"3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16 KJV) "My Father is the husbandman" God loves you, as a physical human, for the spiritual child that you may produce for Him (whether you are male or female), if you become and remain faithful to Him. Your physical body will one day die and return to the earth from which it came (human bodies are about 70% water; the rest is just natural elements and chemical compounds), but the spiritual child, that has been conceived by God within you by the Holy Spirit (the reason that God is called our Father in the ultimate sense, but the "husbandman" until all has been completed i.e. "15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman" John 15:1 KJV) will live forever, if you don't abort it by forsaking your love of God. You are that yet-unborn child that you have been given to care for until such time that it is born.
"3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Humans, while yet physical, are not yet children of God.
"9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed." (Romans 9:8 KJV) The Church of God (i.e. the people of God - see What Is The Church?) is referred to as a righteous "woman" (see The Righteous Woman's Victory Over The Great Whore) because of the children that will be born from the union of God's Holy Spirit and those who truly love Him. The Godly purpose in that marriage (rather than just dead-end physical reproduction like animals) will then have been accomplished (see Neither Marry, Nor Are Given In Marriage and No Children In Paradise). At most, humans in the present time are conceived, but unborn, children of God because humans in the present time are the "woman" from whom they themselves will be born - from which then God will love you as a child; until then, God loves you as a wife (listen also to our Sermon The Divorce and Remarriage of Jesus Christ).
"20:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead [see The Sleep Of Death and Resurrections], neither marry, nor are given in marriage: 20:36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection." (Luke 20:35-36 KJV)
Fact Finder: How do pagan "love festivals" make a Satanic mockery of God's pure love for you?
