The Kingdom Of The LORD God
"They drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ"
Very plain and factual statements about the Exodus by the apostle Paul: "They drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ" and "Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents."
"10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses [see Israel In History and Prophecy: Moses] in the cloud and in the sea; 10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 10:5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness [see Israel In History and Prophecy: The Sinai Journey].
The Holy Scriptures explain themselves. They require no interpretation. It was "the LORD God" who brought the Israelites out of Egypt, and as we read in the verses quoted above, "the LORD God" was later born as a man, Jesus of Nazareth, or Jesus Christ.
"3:6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
Rahab the Jericho Canaanite woman (see also What Does The Bible Really Say About Canaanites?) joined with the Israelites, not because she wanted to follow them, but because she wanted to obey the LORD God i.e. "the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath."
"2:10 For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you [see also Paul's Geography Lesson], when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed. 2:11 And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath." (Joshua 2:10-11 KJV)
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God"
"LORD" is an English rendering of the Four Sacred Letters, shown in Hebrew (Hebrew reads right to left) and pronounced (approximately) as yod, heh, vav, heh - from which humans have attempted to create a Sacred Name for themselves, "Jehovah" and "Yahweh" being the most well-known, but many others just as inaccurate and presumptuous. All that we were given were the four letters, all of which are consonants, no vowels.
Did the LORD God exist before the Exodus? Yes, He did. It's the reason that God said "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness."
"1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." (Genesis 1:26 KJV)
How do we know that Jesus Christ was the LORD God who was with God in the beginning - and that "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made"?
"1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." (John 1:1-3 KJV)
The "Word of God," "the LORD God," was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father."
"1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1:14 KJV)
Jesus Christ created "the earth and the heavens." Jesus Christ "formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life." Jesus Christ created His one and only true Christian Sabbath: "on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made."
"2:4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens" (Genesis 2:4 KJV)
Jesus Christ delivered His Ten Commandments to humanity (see The Constitution Of The Kingdom Of God). Over and over Jesus Christ is identified in the Ten Commandments, as proven and verified from all of the other verses that we've read e.g. "I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt" and "that Rock was Christ."
"20:1 And God spake all these words, saying,
"His name is called The Word of God ... KING of kings, AND LORD of lords"
God sent the LORD God to do the work of creation, as a matter of preparing for God's coming to Earth. Until then, the LORD God will return and "reign until all enemies put under His feet."
"15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept [see The Harvest Prophecies]. 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all." (1 Corinthians 15:20-28 KJV)
The return of Jesus Christ will be the first stage of the Kingdom of God on Earth - the first 1,000 years will, in effect, be the Kingdom of the LORD God because that is what God has now given Him the mandate to accomplish, before the Father's coming (see What Happened When The Messiah Arrived In Heaven?).
"19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war [see A History Of Jerusalem: War And Peace and What Happens After The Messiah Returns?]. 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God [see What Does Word of God Mean To You?]. 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen [see also Linen In History And Prophecy], white and clean. 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
The first resurrection will occur on the day of Christ's return; those in the first resurrection will "reign with Christ a thousand years" (see When And Where Your Eternal Life Will Begin and The Harvest Prophecies), The second resurrection will occur at the end of the thousand years (see The Eighth Day: Empty Cemeteries).
"20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan [see Satan's Masquerade and Sending Away The Escapades Goat], and bound him a thousand years, 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
"For He must reign, till He hath put all enemies under His feet"
By the end of the 1,000 years, the LORD will have "put all enemies under His feet."
"20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever [see The Lake Of Fire Into An Ocean Of Fire - When?].
The Earth will then be purified by a worldwide ocean of fire, after which God will come to Earth.
"21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." (Revelation 21:1-4 KJV)
God and the LORD God ("the Word of God," "Jesus Christ") will then reign together in the Kingdom of God that the LORD God prepared for His Father.
"21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. 21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. 21:25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. 21:26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life." (Revelation 21:22-27 KJV)
