The Prophets Of Revelation

Many people now regard the Hebrew Scriptures, commonly known as the "Old Testament," to be only "ancient history." While those earlier Holy Scriptures do indeed provide a great amount of history, they also provide the first documentation of God's Eternal Law (see The Constitution Of The Kingdom Of God), that is only "done away" in the minds of vain rebels (see Why Does Satan Hate Humility?) who either reject Christianity outright, or have replaced reality with their own perversions of "Christianity" (see Will Jesus Christ Obey Your Christian Religion?) that turn away from the Ten Commandments, which include the true Christian Sabbath, and the true Christian Holy Days (e.g. see The Feast Of Tabernacles In History And Prophecy). But as we can read in the Book of Revelation, a sacred document that practically everyone admits is about the future, they are not "done away," except for those who defiantly refuse to repent and accept the LORD's offer of salvation (see Christ Died For Repentant Sinners).

"22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work [see Works Means Obedience] shall be. 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city [see also The Messiah's Teachings About Gates]. 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie." (Revelation 22:12-15 KJV)

What is found in the Book of Revelation is also found in the "Old" Testament. Consider the warning that is recorded at the end of the Book of Revelation to not add or take away "from the things which are written in this book."

"22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." (Revelation 22:18-19 KJV)

Was the warning only about the Book of Revelation? No. The LORD stated the same warning in the Book of Deuteronomy. The warning was about not adding or taking away from the Word of God (see What Does Word of God Mean To You?), regardless of when it was written.

"4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you." (Deuteronomy 4:2 KJV)

Consider the great "harlot" of Babylon, as recorded in the Book of Revelation.

"18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies." (Revelation 18:3 KJV)

The LORD provided the same end-time prophecy to the prophet Jeremiah, in the "Old" Testament.

"51:7 Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD's hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad." (Jeremiah 51:7 KJV)

"Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it"

Consider these famous prophecies from the Book of Revelation, all of which can also be found in the "Old" Testament Book of Isaiah alone - not as a matter of mere repetition, but as a matter of unity and singularity of all of the Holy Scriptures. These are just a few of the great number of verses that eternalize the same Word of God throughout all of the Holy Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation.

Isaiah The Book of Revelation:

"7:16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat." (Revelation 7:16 KJV)

The same "They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them" in Isaiah:

"49:10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them." (Isaiah 49:10 KJV)

The Book of Revelation:

"7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne [see also What Happened When The Messiah Arrived In Heaven?] shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes." (Revelation 7:17 KJV)

The same "the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces" in Isaiah:

"25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth [again, see What Happened When The Messiah Arrived In Heaven?]: for the LORD hath spoken it [see also The Kingdom Of The LORD God]." (Isaiah 25:8 KJV)

The Book of Revelation:

"18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird." (Revelation 18:2 KJV)

The same "Babylon is fallen, is fallen" in Isaiah:

"21:9 And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground." (Isaiah 21:9 KJV)

The Book of Revelation:

Israel From Space

"22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last." (Revelation 22:13 KJV)

Keeping in mind that "Alpha and Omega" are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet (the English word "alphabet" originated from the pronunciation of the first two Greek letters, alpha and beta), the same "the first, and with the last; I am he" in Isaiah:

"41:4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he." (Isaiah 41:4 KJV)

The Book of Revelation:

"22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star." (Revelation 22:16 KJV)

The same "rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots" in Isaiah:

"11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse [see Jesse The Bethlehemite], and a Branch shall grow out of his roots." (Isaiah 11:1 KJV)

The Book of Revelation:

"22:17 And the Spirit and the bride [see The Birth Of The Bride] say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely." (Revelation 22:17 KJV)

The same "every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money" in Isaiah:

"55:1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price." (Isaiah 55:1 KJV)

Fact Finder: Were/are "the seven churches" of the Book of Revelation contemporary (i.e. existing at the same time) or successive (i.e. existing one after another)?

1496: Leonardo da Vinci unsuccessfully tested his "flying machine."

1521: Martin Luther was excommunicated by Pope Leo X for his opposing the Roman Catholic leadership of the time, not the core doctrines of the Church of Rome. Luther, and most "Protestant" churches ever since, have maintained most of Rome's false and erroneous anti-Biblical teachings.

1961: U.S. President Eisenhower broke off diplomatic relations with Cuba, two years after communist forces led by Fidel Castro overthrew the Mafia and CIA puppet regime of Fulgencio Batista (after which the people of Cuba went from being ruled by a fascist dictator to being ruled by a communist dictator). Despite the political and economic embargo by the U.S., numerous efforts to overthrow and/or assassinate him, as well as being excommunicated by Pope John XXIII on January 3 1962 (exactly a year after Eisenhower broke off diplomatic relations with Cuba), Fidel Castro remained in power through the Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush and Obama administrations.

1967: Jack Ruby (actual name Jacob Rubenstein; the son of Polish-immigrant Jewish parents, he grew up in Chicago where, as a boy, he ran errands for the gangster Al Capone), who shot Lee Harvey Oswald before he could be tried for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, died of cancer at age 56 while in prison.
