When The LORD Comes To Visit
"Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the Earth shall wail because of Him"
The English-language word "visit" originated from the ancient Latin word video (the "modern" word video is actually very old) that meant to see ("visible" originated from the same Latin word). The literal meaning is made obvious from how people today will say either "I'm going to visit them" or "I'm going to see them."
The Hebrew and Greek words of the Holy Scriptures also use visit and see in the same manner. An example from the apostles Paul and Barnabas (see also The Meeting Of Paul And Barnabas and The Ministry Of Paul And Barnabas):
"15:36 And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do." (Acts 15:36 KJV)
The most spectacular "visit" by the LORD (see also John's Eyewitness Of The Messiah And The LORD God and A Biography Of Jesus Christ: The LORD God Of Creation), up to the present time, was when the Israelites saw His Presence descend upon Mount Sinai (see also The Prophecy Of Mount Sinai In Arabia).
"19:16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.
The LORD's Return (see A Biography Of Jesus Christ: The Return Of The Messiah) is going to be even more spectacular - everyone on Earth will witness His "visit."
"1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen." (Revelation 1:7 KJV)
Unfortunately, for them, defiant, rebel-minded humanity as a whole are not going to welcome the Creator's Return to His Earth (see the Fact Finder question below).
"19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written,

The U.S. often sought to overshadow important dates of Russia's pioneer space accomplishments by choosing specific "cover up" dates whenever possible - there are too many for it to have been mere coincidence. Examples: the first U.S. space shuttle launch was deliberately chosen to be on the same date as Russia's putting Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space, 20 years earlier and Sally Ride was made the first U.S. woman in space on June 18, 1983 - exactly 20 years to the day after the Russian cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova became the first woman in space on June 16-19 1963.
