The Father Of Angels And Man
"Thou hast been in Eden the Garden of God ... Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee"
The English word "son" originated from an Anglo-Saxon word, sunu, which specifically meant a male child, or by extension, grandsons or further male descendants. That word is used to translate the Hebrew word of the Holy Scriptures, pronounced bane (often rendered into English as "ben"), which, like the English word, is sometimes used for a male descendant, but, as we will read, the Hebrew word has much wider applied meaning.
Angels were sometimes referred to as "sons of God" because they were created by God. That included even the now-loser Satan (see What Is Satan's Real Name?) who was created perfect and sinless by God, but who made himself into a pervert: "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee."
Although Satan did it first, he later deceived the first humans to do it too. Both were in an Eden. Both were created sinless. Both fell because of their iniquity i.e. declaring that whatever they do is right (see the Fact Finder question below).
"28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee." (Ezekiel 28:13-15 KJV)
Notice how the angels here are called "sons of God" and Satan "came also" to be among his created siblings.
"1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, from going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it." (Job 1:6-7 KJV)
The only other incidence of the term "sons of God" used for angels was how they celebrated at the time of the physical creation. It would seem that the corruption of Satan had not yet occurred at that time (keeping in mind, as we read above, Satan's fall occurred when the physical Earth existed) because "all the sons of God shouted for joy."
"38:5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? 38:6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?" (Job 38:5-7 KJV)
At the time just before the Flood (see also How Did The Flood Happen?), "the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose."
"6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
While some interpret the verses quoted above to mean that angels married human women and had children by them, notice that all of the children were mortal - all had a maximum lifetime, and further, all died in the Flood, while angels cannot die. Nor can angels have children, as the Messiah plainly stated.
"22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven." (Matthew 22:30 KJV)
All other uses of the term "sons of God: refer to humans - male and female.
"1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Notice here how the wider meaning of the actual Hebrew word applies. Eve was as much "Adam" as Adam was, and salvation is not based upon gender.
"1:27 So God created man [i.e. the Hebrew word there from which the name "Adam" originated, is pronounced aw-dawm; it literally means man as a species, male and female] in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." (Genesis 1:27 KJV)
All other occurrences of "sons of God" refer to salvation of "the children of God."
"8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God." (Romans 8:14-19 KJV)
Fact Finder: What is iniquity? Who commits iniquity - hypocrite "conservatives" who merely put on a show of righteousness, or openly perversion-lusting liberals?

Among the specified war crimes for which they were convicted and sentenced to death by U.S. judges was the waterboarding torture of prisoners - the very same form of torture used in the present-day "war on terror."

Calley was later convicted of the war crimes, but was quietly released from custody not long afterward.
Among those present that day that are awaiting the LORD's justice will not be Hugh Thompson. The U.S. Army helicopter pilot from Atlanta, Georgia, at age 24, along with his crew, stopped the infamous U.S. massacre at My Lai by landing his helicopter between the Vietnamese men, women and children and the U.S. troops who had already murdered about 500 of them. Thompson ordered his two door gunners to open fire on the U.S. troops if they didn't stop their murders of helpless women and children. Hugh Thompson was ostracized at the time, but is now regarded as an extremely courageous and honorable warrior - a genuine hero. Hugh Thompson died in 2006 at age 62.
