Sunday, December 25 2011The True Gospel Of ChristThe English word "gospel" originated from a compound Anglo-Saxon word, godspell; god meant good, and spell (still found in the term "to spell it out") meant history, or narration. "Gospel" literally means good tidings, or good news. "Gospel" is used to translate the Greek word of the Holy Scriptures, pronounced yoo-ang-ghel-ee-on, which means to proclaim good news (the English word "evangelize" and "evangelist" originated from that same Greek word). Humans have created many imagined "gospels" over the centuries. According to the Word of God, all are merely man-made, self-worshipping political or religious fantasies that serve the vanity or the scheme of the people who invented them - while proudly attaching a "Christian" label to the nonsense. Do humans have any right to declare to themselves what the true Gospel is? Not according to the apostle Paul (or any other true servant of Jesus Christ i.e. "For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ") who warned "If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed":
"1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel [see Grace Into Licentiousness]: 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. What then is the true Gospel "that ye have received"? When people "pervert the gospel of Christ," what does that mean? What is it? Where can it be found? We can begin to understand what the true "gospel of Christ" is when we state the full term, as spoken by the Messiah, and as it's written in the Holy Scriptures - "the Gospel of the Kingdom of God."
"1:14 Now after that John was put in prison [see also Lethal Lust], Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." (Mark 1:14-15 KJV) "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven" While the Kingdom of God was also referred to as "the kingdom of heaven" (e.g. "5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven" Matthew 5:3 KJV) or even "in heaven" (e.g. "6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven" Matthew 6:10 KJV - but note carefully the "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth" part), it was recorded that way because at that time it was in heaven - as it still is now, prior to the day when it is brought to earth. Note carefully what the Word of God says happened when the Messiah returned to heaven after His Sacrifice; first, as seen by the prophet Daniel.
"7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days [see The Ancient of Days], and they brought him near before him. 7:14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." (Daniel 7:13-14 KJV) The Messiah (see also The Rock Of The Church) was given charge of the Kingdom when He returned to heaven (see also The Ascent From Bethany). But note carefully that the Messiah was given the Kingdom to bring it to Earth in due time i.e. "we shall reign on the earth." As seen by the apostle John:
"5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof [see also The Horsemen Of The Apocalypse]: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation [see The Joppa Lessons Of Jonah And Peter and What Was The Lesson Of John 3:16?]; 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. The Messiah always and only preached that true Gospel of His Return and His establishing the Kingdom of God on Earth:
"24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory [see The Coming World Dictator]. 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other [see When And Where Your Eternal Life Will Begin]." (Matthew 24:30-31 KJV) The return of Jesus Christ will be at a time when humanity has reached the end of its ability to survive itself (i.e. "24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened" Matthew 24:22 KJV). The Messiah will arrive at a time of great war, not to make war, but to make peace - not through negotiation, or by pandering or begging for anyone's "vote," but through overwhelming force that will bring an end to all war.
"19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean [see Linen In History And Prophecy]. 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Thereafter, for the next 1,000 years, the Kingdom of God will be established on Earth - free of war and false religion (see Religious Parties and Is Your Church A Cult?).
"4:1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. 4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4:3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." (Micah 4:1-3 KJV) At the end of the 1,000 years, when all of the harvest of salvation has been completed (see When And Where Your Eternal Life Will Begin and The Eighth Day: What Does It Mean?), the Earth will be wholly purified by fire - after which God too will come to Earth, thereby bringing to absolute fulfillment the meaning of Kingdom of God - Paradise on Earth (the only Biblical mention of those famous "pearly gates" is on Earth i.e. "21:21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass" Revelation 21:21 KJV, and below).
"20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works [see Works Means Obedience and the Fact Finder question below]. 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire [see The Lake Of Fire Into An Ocean Of Fire - When?]." (Revelation 20:11-15 KJV)

This Day In History, December 25 274: Roman Emperor (see Pax Romana: The Birth Of The Roman Empire) Aurelian declared the pagan Sol Invictus to be the state religion of Rome (see Does Rome Have Christ's Birth Certificate?). 336: The first documented observance of "Christmas" in Rome, observed at the time of their sun god (Sol Invictus) festival (see Constantine's Crusades In History And Prophecy). 496: Clovis and 3,000 of his warriors were baptized into the Church of Rome. Clovis is considered to be the founder of the Frankish kingdom, the first Catholic king of the Franks, and the only orthodox "Christian" ruler in the west. 597: England adopted the Julian calendar. 795: Adrian I, pope 772-795, died. His relationship with Charlemagne "symbolized the medieval idea of union of church and state in a united Christendom." He was elected with the support of the Frankish party at Rome (see Emperors and Popes). 800: Pope Leo III crowned Charles, King of the Franks (subsequently called Karl der Grosse / Charles the Great, or Charlemagne) "Emperor of the Romans." Some consider this date to be the beginning of "The Holy Roman Empire." Surprisingly, the iconography of the Middle Ages shows the emperor, not the pope, as "Peter's representative." The emperor was often portrayed as standing alone as "God's earthly vicar" (listen to our Sermon Constantine's Papacy). 1066: The coronation of King William I (later known as William the Conqueror) of England. 1635: French explorer Samuel de Champlain died at age 68. He was the chief founder of "New France" in North America. 1651: The General Court of Boston levied a five shilling fine on anyone found "observing any such day as Christmas" (see Could Santa Claus Have Become The Pope?). 1926: Hirohito became emperor of Japan. 1941: With France under German occupation at the start of the Second World War, many "Free French" forces retreated to the tiny French islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon off the Canadian east coast (St. Pierre and Miquelon are to this day owned by France). 1950: Scottish nationalists stole the Stone of Scone (the "Coronation Stone" or "Stone of Destiny") from the British coronation throne in Westminster Abbey. Weighing 485 pounds / 220 kilograms, it was recovered 4 months later. 1977: Prime Minister Menachem Begin of Israel met with Egyptian President Sadat in Egypt. 1989: Romanian dictator Nicolea Ceausescu and his wife Elena were executed by a rebel firing squad during the overthrow of the communist government. 1991: Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev resigned amidst the political death of the "Soviet Union." The USSR lasted for 70 years; it collapsed due to national bankruptcy.
